Party Profile Template

The following template should be used when filling out information about your party. Each party must have its own separate profile, created in its own thread. Be sure to fill out all the fields below. You are free to add more than what's here if you want. Each item is explained below.

Some notes:

Party profiles are different from clan profiles (usually just a matter of size, really). You only need a party profile if several of your characters are banded together to form a group (like the Fellowship of the Ring) or if you and other player(s) are having one or more of your characters band together to form a group (like DnD parties).

A character can only be in one party at a time, though a player can have several different characters each in their own distinct party.

If your party has a leader, you may want to designate that in your profile. It doesn't really matter what player in your party makes the profile, so long as all the information is there. If your party has a leader, maybe make the player whose character is the leader make the profile if that makes things easier.

Sample Party Profile

I will be using some characters from Lord of the Rings for this profile as an example only to illustrate what a filled in profile should look like. I did not create, nor do I own the rights to these nor to any of the information in their profile (neither does Deviance, who I used as a secondary player in this example). In practice, you should not use copyrighted characters, races, places, etc. but should instead make your own.

Again, this is just an example to show you the level of detail that we expect from you.

Also, I tend to be more anal about formatting when I make my personal profiles. You don't need to necessarily follow this format to the letter, or be as anal as me. It's helpful if you use the template we've given you, but I won't demand it, so long as you provide all the important information that we've asked for and we're able to read and follow it clearly.

(Anything in parenthesis like this are my notes and comments to further explain what's going on. You do not need to do that in your profiles. In fact, I'd prefer if you didn't, and just made notes in a new post after your profile post.)

The Fellowship of the Ring

Party Name: The Fellowship of the Ring

Player: Marushia Dark
Character: Legolas (would normally be linked to character profile) - A bow-wielding forest elf from (we'll say) Moonlet Crescent.
Character: Gimli (would normally be linked to character profile) - An axe-wielding dwarf from (we'll say) Frigea. He's often stubborn and doesn't really trust elves, but has come to develop a special camaraderie with Legolas.

Player: Deviance
Character: Aragorn (would normally be linked to character profile) - A sword-wielding human from (we'll say) Skye Island, who's returning to his homeland to take up the call to be king. He is very loyal to his comrades and protective of them.

Party History: (To be filled in later)
Party Goal: To return to Aragorn's home city of Gondor to help fight against the Dark Lord, Sauron.


(Obviously, were I to do the complete fellowship, that'd be nine characters in all and each of them would have a character profile, but I kept it small just to show you that you don't need to have that many characters to form a party. In fact, just the two listed under my name would be enough and I would need a party profile for them if I planned on RPing them together often.)
